Resilient and Flourishing: Living a Meaningful Life/Core Applied Concepts of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Logotherapy and Mindfulness Based Approaches: LIVE WEBINAR

8 Nov 2024

An integrated and applied therapeutic approach of the core concepts of Dr. Steven C. Hayes' Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dr. Viktor Frankl's Logotherapy can help us clarify and provide direction in answering two very important questions: "What kind of person do I aspire to be?" and " What kind of life do I aspire to live?"

These approaches in conjunction with mindfulness can help one find clarity and direction in answering these questions. We deepen our capacity to experience wonder and gratitude, as well as finding the strength to deal with painful/difficult life circumstances.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the importance of identifying a deep personal value and combining that with "Nike Therapy".

  2. Identify the 3 ways, according to Dr. Frankl, that people experience meaning in their lives.

  3. Describe the meaning of Dr. Frankl's assertion that we'll never be happy if we're trying to make ourselves happy - that happiness is a by-product of living a meaningful life.

  4. Enhance ethical care to patients by integrating ACT & Logotherapy tools to reduce burnout and improve resiliency.

  5. Understanding of how mindfulness techniques help to improve the ability to live and cope with chronic pain, illness, anxiety, depression and stress related conditions.

  6. Understand the importance of trauma sensitive mindfulness approaches.
