Introduction to Conscious Discipline: Building Resiliency

Please note this is a two day training. Attendance in both days fully is required in order to receive a certificate of completion.

Join us to discover how to support a felt sense of safety, create meaningful connections, even with relationship resistant children, and enhance the development of executive function skills to support problem solving. Conscious Discipline is an adult-first, trauma-responsive approach to self-regulation that utilizes everyday events to cultivate emotional intelligence and wellness.

Learning Objectives:

  • The Concious Discipline brain-state model to help understand what behavior is communicating and how to respond to support regulation
  • Recognize that safety begins with a regulated adult and discover how to manage your own emotions to better respond to challenging behaviors
  • The elements of meaningful connection and key to reaching those who are relationship resistant
  • How to reduce chaos by creating predictable routines using the M.A.P. process
  • The Conscious Discipline Five Step process of self-regulation, for adults and children
  • The language of healthy conflict resolution and remain open to problem solving
