Emerging Trends in Illicit Opioid Use: IN-PERSON CLASS (Reno) Registration Closed

This workshop will provide participants with knowledge needed to understand the current surge of Opioid related issues. Specific information will include a comparison of Fentanyl with other opioids, drug recognition, and information related to overdose response with Narcan. The risks and complications associated with Xylazine (Tranc) and Benzodiazepines (Benzo-Dope).

At the conclusion of the workshop participants will be able to:

1. Describe current trends in Opioid Use in Nevada including increases in Fentanyl.

2. Articulate the unique dangers of opioid products that contain Xylazine.

3. Present dangers of opioids containing benzodiazepines to other professionals.
