The Copeland Center for Wellness & Recovery partners with Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion to translate their concepts and research on community inclusion into practical peer support practices that promote increased community participation. We do this through our experiential application and personal understanding of simple and safe applications in our own lives that increase our health, wellness, and recovery through community participation.
This course is delivered by experienced peer support co-facilitators to be interactive, promote group sharing, focus on the collective knowledge of the group and on individual real-world practical applications. The course is an experiential training for anyone that wants to understand and promote community inclusion through peer support to live a healthier more active life.
Learning Objectives:
Identify self-directed community participation goals and action plans
Utilize and apply the self-inventory tool of community participation
Apply personalized community participation tools, resources, and ongoing action planning to recover and sustain our wellness.
Describe how to access community participation in multiple domains of community participation and its importance to wellness and recovery
Please note: this is a 4-day course that takes place February 5-8, 2024 from 9:00 am - 4:30 pm each day. Full attendence is required in order to earn a certificate of completion.

Continuing Education Units: 24 CEUs
This training is approved for continuing education by the Nevada Certification Board for CHW, PRSS and PRSS-S as well as by the boards listed here.
