This training will focus on the American Society of Addiction Medicine ASAM 4th Edition related to utilizing Continued Service Criteria to substantiate the appropriateness of the level of care for a client. Case examples will be utilized on how to support and document these utilization management activities. Additionally, Treatment Planning utilizing the ASAM 4th Edition will be explored as well as documentation review of treatment plan goals, objectives and interventions for the level of care the client is in.
