Description

This self-paced, online course will review the steps you need to take in the State of Nevada to become certified or licensed with the Nevada State Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Counselors, regardless of level of education or where you come from geographically. We will start with folks with absolutely no college credits and work our way up to someone with a PhD and everyone in between including folks with lived criminal justice experience and the nuances for the Native American population. Please join us for an informative two hour journey into the world of NAC 641C. This step-by-step guide will ease the confusion many folks feel when they go to apply for certification or licensure. No matter your level of education, there is no wrong door into the profession for those who are committed and passionate about working with people with substance use disorders. • Describe the certification and licensure pathways in Nevada under NAC 641C for alcohol, drug, and gambling counselors.

• Identify required steps, documentation, and eligibility criteria for certification or licensure regardless of education level or geographic background.
