Description

A brief training (in‑person) designed to equip anyone—VA staff, caregivers, community members—with essential skills to support Veterans in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, participants will:

• Have a general understanding of the scope of Veteran suicide within the United States.

• Know how to identify a Veteran who may be at risk for suicide.

• Know what to do when you identify a Veteran at risk.

• Gain a general understanding of resources available for suicide prevention.
