    The eight-hour training will teach practitioners the basics of Solution Focused Brief Therapy as well as its practical application. In the first part of the training, participants will gain knowledge about the basic tenets of SFBT and how it differs from other short-term models. Next, participants will learn key interventions and interviewing skills of the SFBT approach. Finally, the training will apply SFBT to its use in acute crisis settings. Throughout the training, participants will learn through didactic lecture, discussion, video examples, and hands-on role plays.Learning Objectives

    By the end of this presentation, participants will:

    • Participants will understand the theoretical framework behind SFBT.

    • Participants will learn key SFBT interventions.

    • Participants will practice the SFBT skills they have learned through experiential activities.

    • Participants will gain knowledge and practice in using the SFBT model in acute crisis settings.
