Safe Messaging on Suicide: LIVE WEBINAR Registration Closed

12 Feb 2025

This webinar is approved for CEUs by the Nevada Certification Board for PRSS(S), CHWs, Prevention, and Doulas ONLY.

The NOSP is pleased to provide improved education regarding Safe Messaging on Suicide. Studies and research have concluded that the way we talk about suicide can have long-lasting impacts on someone with lived experience with suicide. It is crucial for our communities to use consistent language to frame discussing or reporting on suicide. This will help prevent future suicides and to destigmatize the conversations surrounding:
     • Facts and myths about suicide
     • Suicide safe language and suicide safe imaging
     • Person first language, the contagion factor
     • How to safely report on suicide (TEMPOS)

Presented by: Emma White, Youth Suicide Prevention Coordinator, Nevada Department of Education and Project Aware Manager and Safe Messaging Specialist and Taylor Morgan Suicide Prevention Training and Outreach Facilitator

Continuing Education Units: 3 CEUs*
