In this session, participants will explore the definition and significance of resilience in overcoming stress, adversity, and trauma. We will delve into the key attributes that foster resilience, as well as the barriers that may hinder emotional wellbeing. Participants will leave with practical strategies to enhance resilience in themselves and their clients, along with an in-depth understanding of the five essential pillars of resilience: Emotional Wellbeing, Inner Drive, Future Focus, Relationships, and Physical Health. Finally, we will discuss effective techniques to prevent burnout, ensuring that professionals are equipped to support others while maintaining their own wellbeing.
Learning Objectives:
1. Define and Understand Resilience: Participants will be able to clearly define resilience and understand its significance in overcoming stress, adversity, and trauma, while recognizing that resilience can be learned and developed over time.
2. Identify Key Attributes and Barriers: Participants will identify positive attributes that contribute to resilience, such as a growth mindset and adaptability, as well as common barriers like a fixed mindset and poor self-esteem, which impede emotional wellbeing.
3. Learn Practical Steps to Build Resilience: Participants will gain actionable strategies to build resilience, including setting realistic goals, enhancing emotional intelligence, and seeking support from personal and professional relationships.
4. Explore the Five Pillars of Resilience: Participants will understand the five core
pillars of resilience—Emotional Wellbeing, Inner Drive, Future Focus, Relationships, and Physical Healt h—and how strengthening each pillar contributes to overall mental and physical wellbeing.
5. Develop Strategies to Prevent Burnout: Participants will learn how to prevent burnout by recognizing early signs, setting boundaries, prioritizing self-care, and using effective stress management techniques.
